Just had my first mammogram at 40 & got a call back

Hi - I recently had my first mammogram just turned 40 and got a call to come back for further testing . I have right breast asymmetrical density I am booked for more test in 3 weeks.

    It is common for women to be called back for additional testing after a first mammogram. If something looks unusual when the radiologist reads the films, the first thing they do is compare it to the previous mammogram. There’s nothing to compare it to when it’s your first mammogram. Try not to worry too much. (Easier said than done, I know!!) Keep busy as much as you can.... try a new class at the gym, read, bake cookies, binge watch a new series... anything to keep you distracted. I have found so much support here; I hope you do too.     thank you , it’s so hard not to think my dr is trying to get me into private practice as I see the wa breast clinic in 3 weeks. I have herd this is the normal they call back but my dr is really worried .:
