leg heaviness
Hi everyone,
Does anyone else taking an arimidex inhibitor feel leg heaviness? I don't have any joint pain, which seems odd, since this seems to be the most common side-effect. My legs are often stiff, but mostly heavy! I'm concerned that this may not be a side effect from this drug, but something else. My blood pressure is normal. I am, however, also taking baby aspirin.
Can anyone relate?

Ann, yes I started Arimidex generic a couple of months ago and suffer from some fatigue and my legs feel very tired and heavy but not painful (so far). So far these have been the only side effects. Finding it much easier than tamoxifen except for this.

Hi lyzzysmom,
I appreciate hearing from you so much. Since I haven't heard from other women about leg heaviness, I've been feeling worried that it's something more sinister! In the back of my mind, though, I kind of figured it was the arimidex.
Thanks, again.

Hi Annwalk,
I have been on Tamoxifen for over 4 years now. I have always had pretty bad night time leg and foot cramps, but recently I have also starting having bad aches and a heaviness in both of my legs. It keeps me awake a lot of nights. It improves quickly after I get up and shower and start moving around. I started back on my yoga practice recently and it seems to have made the night pains even worse. I am considering asking my doc about taking a break from tamoxifen for a few weeks and seeing if the pains subside.
Anyone else had these types of leg pains and cramps? The heaviness worries me some. I'm not sure what to think about that either....

hi,
I just came across your question now. I know it’s a few yrs ago, but wondering how are your legs now. I’m three yrs on Tamoxifin and I know my estrogen is low but my legs have started to become quiet heavy and tire

Hi everyone,
Hope you're all well. I started Tamoxifen 3 weeks ago and am having horrible knee pain. I'm 41 and find the act of sitting down excruciating!! I am a very active person and this is devastating to my lifestyle. I see my MO next week. Anyone else with knee issues?
Thank you!
Heather
