Tissue spreader

i just had to get a my tissue spreader replace do to the metal detach from the place it should of been and the spreader flipped. Has anyone ever had this happen to them before? I remember hearing a popping sound when the metal detache. .just wounding if anyone has had this happen to them and what the reason they where told why it did.thank you. R.carranza.
