Wednesday Weigh In

up 1....given that is over the arc of 2 weeks since last weigh-in and 9 day of the two weeks I was in Barcelona over Spring Break, I'll take it. My doctor might have a different take on it, but if I can come home from a holiday and be up 1 (versus 5) I think I have won the race.
Unfortunately I feel like that picture that was posted a couple of weeks ago...every time I think I'll start fresh there is this and that and something else. Returning from break to have a Retirement Party tonight, a Board Meeting and Reception Saturday, St Patrick's on Sunday...oh well, keep on pushing, best to all, TT

Down 1. I can sure relate to all the special occasions. Everything served is guaranteed to make you gain.
-
Down 2. I’ve sort of given up on trying to lose weight. I’m just going to keep track, whilst eating healthily and excercising daily for a while. Let’s see how it will go
-
Scotbird, I'm in the same mental state as you. Will continue to exercise and try to eat healthy. But no real hope of getting back into size 12.
-
I agree with both you ladies! If I'm exercising and eating healthy I feel better and that's what most important!
-
I really appreciate your attitude- to be good with where you are. But I can’t believe I’m staying at this weight- almost 10% more of my body weight- without eating more or exercising less. And I’m so tired... it has to be the Tamoxifen. Anyway no loss for me. No gain, but in the upper reaches of where I feel comfortable.
-
Falconer- before I lost the 25 pounds I was miserable! I didn't feel good in my own skin. I really hoped to make it to 130 (or under) but if I can stay under 140 I will try to be happy with it. This winter has been challenging to get any form of exercise completed! I can't wait to get back in the pool! That's what really got the scales to move!
-
up 1. I think my body is in rebound from spring break...while I am back on the normal exercise and eating, I am way down on the level of exercise we had over break...some days mr. fitbit said I had over 100 minutes of activity! DH is away this week on business so will try harder... TT Happy Spring!
-
Up .5. No excuse.
-
Haven't checked in here in a while, but just got on the scale and I was 147.5 - definitely up since we started our RV trip. I'm not surprised, my pants are not as loose as they were at the start of this trip. We will be on the road for another 2-3 weeks, but when I get home I need to get back on track.
-
I'm traveling as well, and my pants are so tight that I can hardly button them
-
I am down from yesterday, but up 5 lbs from my low a few months ago. My weight can fluctuate 2 to 3 lbs from one day to the next, depending on carb and salt consumption. Off to the gym today.
-
I didn’t check in last week but finally got back in the groove after my Mardi Gras week fiasco. Over the two weeks, I am down 4.4 lbs, right back at my low weight of several years. Milder weather has helped with the activity, too. I will remind myself it isn’t that hard and see if I can stay on track and where that will land me.
-
That’s fantastic Two Hobbies well done! I’m hovering around the same level. I’d rather be lighter - I’m exercising daily, BMI is 24 and I’m feeling well so I’m OK with it. I’ve managed to eat a vegan diet for the whole of March, with only a couple of days where I lapsed. I have missed eggs and cheese, and milk in my coffee but otherwise it has been surprisingly easy. X
-
Great BMI, Scotbird.
-
I forgot to weigh yesterday, but today I'm down 5. I'll take it although it bounces around.
-
Scotbird, BMI in the normal range, good eating habits and exercise. Winning!
Good job, Wren!
My Saturday weigh in - down .6 which I am shocked sinceI ate Mexican last night complete with chips and a Margarita.
-
well I’m back in again, hopefully I’ll keep at it this time! I’m doing an online 30 day low carb challenge. Cost $100 and I know all the stuff, but I guess if it works it will be worth it to my health. It’s run by 2 Australian dieticians on Facebook, and they do a few live streams. People r encouraged to post up photos and get feedback. They post their meals too, and show us Australian brands that they use and where to get them, which is helpful. We have to do a weekly meal plan to make us think.
I’ve had 2 meals out and for once chose low carb meals! And I’ve stopped drinking for the time being. It’s actually a much less restrictive low carb, we r allowed to have any fruit in moderation and most above ground veges as much as u like.
Anyway I’ve lost 1.5kg in the first week! Hooray. Keep at it everyone.
-
That's an impressive loss! Good motivation to keep at it.
-
Has anyone tried the Jenny Craig diet? I know the weight loss would only be one stage. Then maintenance, the big challenge.
-
I knew someone who did and lost a lot of weight. I think reporting in and getting encouragement is helpful. But you're right about maintenance being the tricky part.
Yesterday I was up 1.5 lbs. Today I had lost .5 of that. If I can behave this weekend, I will hopefully lose the rest of my gain. My lesson from last week is don't eat pizza one night followed by fish and chips the next.
-
oh, but Wren, that does sound delicious. I’m still the same weight, which is somewhere about 8-10 lbs over. Next week is spring cleansing fast week, which, according to Ayurveda, gives the digestive sys a break. I hope to lose a few lbs then. Tamoxifen is crushing me, its depression cloud driving me to chocolate and carbs. I’m soooooo tired. Bone tired.
Great news from all the losers this week. Keep at it!
-
I am up. Too many carbs lately. Yay for losers!
-
Only down 0.1kg this week. Oh well, better than a gain. The nutritionists emphasise 5 veges a day, and 30mls water per kg, which Im trying to follow, so I guess I’ll get healthier. Only a palm size of protein because excess protein is converted to fat. They say many people eat too much protein. And I’m still off alcohol, even when I go out, so that will definitely help. Keep going all 😎
-
Just start logging my food intake on my Fitbit again. I NEED the accountability!
-
BellaTassie, that all sounds like good advice. Five servings of fruit and veggies is my minimum, which is easier than 5 veggies. I am up half a kilo since seeing my onc, the Guardian of my body weight. He really has managed to have me keep my weight stable all these years. My next appointment is in October but the summer and getting into my bathing suit will help me lose a bit more before then.
-
down 1 pound, because I was logging my food I didn't have second helpings or a midnight snack
-
Good for you, Ruthbru!
I'm in the range of my current overweight status! l lb up from yesterday. Yesterday I was down 1 lb.
-
Three Wednesdays now the same...
-
Not sure what's going on here. Mon = top number of OK range. Tue = 1 lb higher. Wed = 1 more lb higher. I don't think I ate a lot of salt, so how can in vary so much? Obviously something needs to change.
