Side affects a year after letrozole

Options

My Mother is a breast cancer survivor, double mastectomy. She took Letrozole for 10 years with no side affects.

She stopped about 14 months ago and is now having unbearable night sweats and hot flashes. I have found information scattered from here to there that this can be a long term side affect. There has been mention of using some antidepressants that help. Has anyone had any experience with this? How long does it last?

What worked in treating it? She's been released from her oncologist and we are trying to get her help in another state where she has moved.

Is this a standard thing, rare? I'm desperate to get her help. She's 84 years old with beginning stages of alzheimer's and this is really stressing

her out bad!

Thanks in advance.....
