Just diagnosed IDC and DCIS and two lymph nodes involved. Triple positive. I am still learning what all this means. Have general idea. One question I have: how do doctors know it’s breast cancer spreading to nodes and not lymphoma spreading to breast? I’ve had 2nd degree relatives with Non-Hodgkin and other with breast cancer. Yes doctor knows this history. I just didn’t think to ask this question.

Because they find breast cells in the lymph node. The same way a breast cancer metastasis to the brain is breast cancer not brain cancer. It's made of breast cells.

beep7bop - so sorry about your news, but welcome to our group. You are absolutely right, this is just a bump in the road that you are going to roll right over. Hopefully you can line up your team of care providers soon. The worse for me was the waiting, not for the results, but for the treatment to start. Once I had a surgery date, then I felt that I was on my way to getting rid of the cancer.
