Hi Sandy
Thank you that's really kind. I got the result today of the MRI and firstly to say there is NO evidence of cancer. There is a bunch of other stuff to do with degenerative loss and impingement of nerves (my head is spinning!!) and something noted in the lung - changes to the posterior of the left lung apex??
will make an appointment with Dr Google to work out what this means.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me here.

Glad you are finally cleared of recurrence after four months! Have you still got the bad arm pain? Hope you feel better as the weather warms up. Please keep us posted about your arm pain situation.

Thanks for your thoughts. It did take a while to get to the bottom of it didn't it!- the arm pain tends to come and go. the onc told me to go back to the GP to discuss it. I will do that soon; but I feel like I need a break from doctors at the moment .
The weather is a little cool here; bet it is better weather in Australia!

Are you on chemo meds.? Some of them can produce debilitating pain in muscles and bones. You have to research them. Most dr.s either don't know or won't admit it.

I had lumpectomy and lymph node dissection in 2017 and lymph node dissection again in early part of 2018. In 2017 I experienced mild sensations in my hands and feet. Out of nowhere I started experiencing pains on the LT side in my arm, hand, and upper shoulder blade. Within weeks I noticed my arm was getting weak. I had restricted movements. I had a MRI to check mets to brain and spin. Both were clear thx God. PET scan done and also showed nothing.
It's strange that all of a sudden I am feeling all of these symptoms. It's like there is a disconnect somewhere. I can't spread my fingers apart or extend my arm out when in a incline position. The pain is unbearable they have me on Morphine, Gapapenentin, and Oxycodone heavy hitters, but they dont work!!!!!! Very scary, if it wasn't for the pain I WOULDN'T believe the diagnosis of stage IV TNBC.
If anyone can offer suggestions or advice regarding my symptoms it would be greatly appreciated.

Have they investigated the brachial plexus? "Brachial plexopathy" can cause a lot of those symptoms. There is a thread about it on here somewhere.
I hope you get relief soon.

I am getting breast cancer arm side issues now too, 11 years later. I go to OT Thursday.
diagnosed after clear pet-ct and mri, radiation induced brachial plexopathy.

Thanks miss302, Wow how did they figure it out. Are you still experiencing the symptoms?

Hi there:
I had a mastectomy on my left side 2 years ago with a sentinel node dissection and then reconstruction with implants. My left shoulder (top of it), and my left arm aches and feels heavy from time to time. Sometimes it goes to my fingers and hands, other times it doesn't. I had an ultrasound of the underarm nodes and there was no evidence of blood clots or tumors. My GP and my MO both say its lymphedema. Sometimes my wrist looks a bit puffy. I have never had my arm measured for differences or anything. I got a compression sleeve, and I wear it when my arm is achy. But I don't know if it helps really and I hate wearing it. The achyness and sometimes tingly in my hands comes and goes. I think its damage to nerves from surgery to tell you the truth.
Reading your story gives me a stronger sense that my issues are nerve related too.
Let us know how it turns out for you.
God bless
wallan
