Confused about my liver scan and biopsy.

Hi all,

I have not been here for many years. Had Breast cancer stage 2 in 1996 with lumpectomy, lymph nodes taken out , and radiation.

It then came back in 2005 and I had mastectomy and chemo.

Now, on a recent chest X-ray due to getting over Pneumonia they found a tumor on my liver as part of the liver shows in chest xray .

Had a ct scan of liver and it shows this :

Liver: Multiple hypodense lesions seen scattered diffusely throughout both lobes of the liver. 2 cm

hypodense mass seen in the superior aspect of segment 7 on axial images 19 and 20. 1.8 cm hypodense mass

anterior segment 4A left lobe of liver axial image 18. 1.8 cm hypodense mass posterior aspect segment 6

axial image 52. Remaining lesions vary in size from 7 mm up to 12 mm. Proximally 30 separate metastatic

lesions are seen throughout the liver.

So a few tumors and 30 lesions.

Then it says this :

IMPRESSION:

1. Extensive diffuse hepatic metastasis.

So, I had a biopsy a couple days ago on one of the tumors and it was inconclusive. Did not show any cancer . Just strange cells. The Radiologist told me that they did not think they had gotten good enough samples and I should have another biopsy coming up of one of the other tumors. Here is part of what it says.

I don't know what to think. A part of me says that maybe the whole business in my liver is benign and some weird thing . However given my history of breast cancer they still seem to think I have cancer in the liver. Also, I have not been feeling myself lately. Some things just not right. But then if anything is going on in my liver , be it cancer or not well I suppose it could affect how I feel since the liver is important. I am so confused and was thinking if I do have widespread cancer in the liver as it sounds when you look at the part of the cat scan that says I have 30 lesions and 3 or 4 tumors. The other think is that I am really more into integrative care and not getting pumped with chemo again. Now, I am feeling like just forgetting the whole thing for awhile.

Just wondering what some of you think .

I actually talk to my Dr. tomorrow. These current results of the liver biopsy where on my chart to read. I dont know if that is good or not. But I am signed up on My chart with the hospital meaning I can read all my reports and sometimes before I see the Dr.
