I had reconstructive surgery 4 months ago after a double mastectomy. Is it normal for your chest to stay cold now all the time? Has anyone had this issue?

yes, unfortunately. Limited blood flow. For various reasons I ended up having my implants removed. It was also a nice perk to have them not be cold anymore

Yes. When it’s cold and I am outside I can definitely feel it. Not a huge issue for me since my time outdoors is limited. Not a big deal for me.

I had to buy an electric heating pad because of this awesome side effect of silicon implants. Living in the midwest I guess cold chest is just my life now.

It all depends how much flesh you have left covering the implants. For me, after the first time I went outside in the cold dressed normally, lesson learned, extra stuff on top. Otherwise it feels like I have two wet frozen towels stuck to my chest.

My sub-pecs were quite cold. It was odd, but not bothersome. When I had pre-pecs placed, my doc did fat grafting and this set does not have that issue. It's amazing what a few cc's of fat will do.

I've been dealing with cold silicone implant since surgery in 2015. It's hard to believe that this hasn't been addressed in the larger community for women who are suffering from it. I'm thinking that I will take some mylar and sew it into some shirts in hopes that the heat will radiate back onto my chest.

I work in the outdoors and get cold often because of the implant. If fat grafting can actually help, I will definitely look into that.
