Zarovka (Z)
I’m very sorry to report that Z passed away a few days ago. I have not been in contact with her but we were friends via Fitbit and after being concerned I search the internet for anything new and found an update from her former place of business. I am numb and heartbroken, as I’m sure you all are as well.
Note: I only left out her last name because she did not share it on BCO to my knowledge.

Omg. 💔🥺 speechless. Speechless. Omg. I can’t breathe!

Zarovka..damn girl. I thought if anyone could figure out a solution, it would be you. You worked so hard to research and then implement what might help. Plus, always giving advice and support, plus sharing any new knowledge with all of us
I really thought that the next time that you posted on BCO, it would be to tell us of your good news and success on a certain treatment.
I just don't understand what happened. Your liver? The meds? Unfortunately, I will never know. I will always wonder if anything made you feel better.
And thru all this, you still managed to be a mom. Oh..those sweet daughters. They were right with you, especially the youngest going to Japan with you for T cell experimental treatment.
Thank you for starting all the threads that we now follow. You will never be forgotten. Never.

Zar was an incredible force on these boards, and I hope her daughters learn how much she inspired everyone with her energy and enthusiasm for moving fearlessly to achieve our goals and dreams in life. This is so sad.
-
Oh No!
Thanks for letting us know Illimae. She helped us all and is gone far too soon
-
Heartbreaking news. No. Words.
-
So sad to hear this. She was very encouraging and inspired my own physical activity after WBR. She was fantastic. My sympathies to her family, friends and all who loved. Sympathies to everyone on this board who also knew her.

I’m so shocked by this news and yet, have been quite worried about her. Z was a risk taker, always pushing the boundaries to the benefit of all. She will be greatly missed.

I am so sad to hear this news. She shared so much of her knowledge with us. Just another heartbreaking loss.
-
I am heartbroken. She was a wonderful person and I have been concerned for her for a while. Like everyone else, I thought maybe she would be the one to find a path out of this! I will pray for her family!
-
So sad. Prayers to Z's family and friends. Sad and angry that we lost another precious soul to this damn disease.
-
Oh, nooooo....I am brokenhearted to read this. Z's insight, support and encouragement will be greatly missed.
I hate this damn disease. May her family find some small measure of comfort in knowing how dear she was to us.

I am saddened to hear of her death. May her memory be a blessing to her family and all who knew her

Thanks for posting this Illimae-I've been thinking a lot about her lately and was almost going to pm you to see what her fitbit usage was. This is so sad. I think Z knew in her gut that she didn't have much time left and that why she left the boards. She was such a positive force.
-
Such sad news! Shine brightly forever, dear Zarovka.
-
heartbroken. Z encouraged me to tell my kids about my diagnosis and gave me the words to do it ... so selfless
-
I am very saddened by this news. News of some passings hit me harder than others, this is one of those.
I always felt that she was so strong physically as well as mentally. Kindest thoughts to all those who love her.
-
When I joined, January 2017, she was one of the very first to respond to me. She educated me, encouraged, answered every question. She became my hero. I've missed her constantly when she took a break from the boards. I never imagined I would read this today. Shocked, emotional, heartbroken and in disbelief. If anyone hears what happened , please let us know.
-
In my mind and my heart, Z was going to be the one that pursued that revolutionary treatment that worked. She was a heroine among us. Fly free sweet lady; your essence will be woven into the fabric of the universe eternally......
-
This is an absolute gut punch. Z was such an inspiration to me and I so admired the way she searched out information and treatment options and so unselfishly shared her knowledge with all of us. I feel such a sense of loss. I am especially heartbroken for her girls. Fly on, Zarovka. You will be misse
-
Oh no, this is devastating. She is a monumental woman and force in this group. I agree, I had a deep faith she’d be in front of the beast for years. I’ll never forget her and she educated, motivated and lifted us up. Hugs to her daughters
-
😢heartbroken.
-
I honestly thought she would beat this disease. If necessary, through sheer force of will alone.
I hope her children and spouse know what an inspiration she is to us.
-
So very sorry to learn this sad news. Katherine (Z) was so generous with her knowledge. Thinking of her husband and children at this sad time
-
So sad to read this news. Z was such an inspiration. She shared so much knowledge in this community and motivated us to keep on. Condolences to her family and friends.
-
I wholeheartedly agree with all of you. When I think of someone doing everything humanly possible, I think of Z. So grateful that she shared the results of her efforts too, good and not so much. She will continue to inspire me to stay active, determined and medically educated.

I'm sitting here sobbing.
