don’t meet with surgeon for biopsy results until Thursday. She already told me cancer though. Had MRI of breast. All of the sudden all these tests are being set up. 15 min bone scan 45 min bone scan CT scan of abdomen. Not a single call from doctor. I am scared to death.

I'm surprised they are ordering these tests before surgery. Probably just being overly cautious, still, those tests give us radiation.

don’t flip out too much. Tests are good at this stage. I had a breast MRI after biopsy of the lump I found- surgeon said he didn’t want to operate twice so always does the MRI to look for other areas that need to be biopsied. I had sentinel node biopsy three weeks before mastectomy which led to my having bone scan and CT of pelvic area prior to surgery- again looking to see if cancer might be elsewhere.

had tests today and pre-op for a port for chemo which goes in Wednesday. Meet with medical oncologist Thursday. Also my HER test was inconclusive so now some other test called a FISH.

I appreciate all these responses. Helped me to settle down a little. Just wish all results in so definite plan could be in place. Scan person today told me maybe by late Tuesday. Means when port put in maybe I will know more.

Also thank you for the prayers.
