hello everyone . I have a complex cyst that the doctor has been monitoring and he sent me to another doctor for a second opinion because he did not know a lot about complex cysts . The new doctor realized that this complex cyst is fixed to the muscle so he sent me for a new ultrasound . I just got a call from the doctor and they just got my ultrasound back and he wants to see me and has already booked my biopsy appointment . I’m scared because everything iv read about a lump being fixed Is not good . I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar situation? I have tried looking up benign fixed cysts and can’t find any . Sorry to bother everyone im just scaredworried and have no one to talk to and my doctor doesn’t know much about this so I’m just by myself trying to research this.

Thanks everyone !! 😊

    Dear Marie28,

Welcome to the BCO community. We are sorry that these breast changes and the worry that accompanies them has brought you here but glad that you reached out. We hope some of our members will be along to offer some support and information. Most here will say that the time spent waiting for test and results is one of the more stressful aspects of all of this. Try as you can to distract yourself from the worry and know that you are doing everything possible to see this through to an answer.

Biopsy stress and uncertainty is the worst. So is internet research.... but it can be helpful to brace yourself if it is a circumstance that is leaning towards a cancer diagnoisis. I don't know about fixed cysts. I do know I spent a little bit too much time doing research in between my mammogram, biopsy, and diagnosis. Worry is natural but don't be obsessed or get ahead of yourself. Do you have the information from the ultrasound report? There is a former imaging doctor on this site (djmammo?) or something? he may be able to provide more insight.

The search box in this forum community might be more useful than google. ie search "fixed cyst" and things like that. You can read other posts or comments about cysts and see if women who had a similar problem eventually got diagnosed with bc etc. THOUGH beware, most women are active on this site because they have reoccurring problems. Most women who don't get a diagnosis or move on with their life in good health don't spend time posting "I"m ok!" here so this site can seem more doomed than statistics of reality.
