I have LCIS but do not qualify for genetic testing covered by my insurance. I am wondering how expensive it is if I pay out of pocket and if anyone has recommendations.

23and me no longer does BRCA testing.

Thank you

Hi there I had mine done through Ambry Genetics http://www.ambrygen.com/

They had a program where you pay $100 for testing - I think I still have the application...not sure. I had a caner34panel done. This tests for 34 known cancer causing genes currently known. I'm in SoCal...Long Beach- this company is in Alisa Viejo I think.

I just discovered the British Columbia provincial hereditary cancer testing agency uses Color Genomics as their provider - which means it must have passed their reliability and validity screening.

    https://www.color.com/

BRCA on its own is 99 and the full panel is 250

Thanks everyone! I got a new breast surgeon who sent me to the genetic counselor. I still don’t qualify for insurance to pay, but the cash price came way down. I’m waiting for my results.

Color genomics was one of the companies the counselor recommended. There was another company that offered 67 genes for $400, so I chose that. I wish I could remember their bane
