Biopsy results

I’ve been to the clinic and had a mammogram (all ok) and a scan and biopsy told all looked ok but as there’s a lump they would do a biopsy and check and that I would get results in the next 5 weeks via post if benign which they were certain it was however I’ve been sent a letter asking me to go in within the 3week period for the results as anyone experienced this??

I’m sorry, I guess I don’t understand your post. Did you have a biopsy or not? I received my biopsy results within 48 hours. I think that’s standard. Once I had my results, I was able to proceed with treatment.

Sorry yes I had 2 biopsies done to make sure was definitely benign but was told by the consultant that unless something was wrong I would receive my results via the post in 4-6 weeks but I’ve received a letter today asking me to go in on the 12/3/19

How about calling the place and asking them? Ask to speak to the physician.

4-6 weeks is an insanely long time to have to wait! how stressful.

if your biopsy said benign, then I believe it’s benign. I have never heard of a biopsy being inaccurate.

But maybe they just want to check you again? Why don’t you call in the morning and ask to speak to a nurse or a doctor?
