Radical Scar Diagnosis

Good Evening-

Within the past month I have had two mammograms, three ultrasounds and a double stereotactic biopsy where 24 samples were taken. I am lucky to say that no cancer cells were found, however a Radical scar diagnosis was given. I met with the breast surgeon today and was told that my R.S. is 7 cm which he stated was a good size and too large to consider excising at this point- basically saying it is a large portion of my breast. He is concerned about another area of architectural distortion as well, but doesn’t want to put me through a third core needle biopsy right now as I am healing from the last two. He is recommending an MRI to confirm no cancerous cells. Although initially relieved, I still do have a pestering reminder that I am not 100% in the clear yet. He recommends mammogram and U/S every six months to watch the R.S. if the MRI is good. I am having a hard time learning about Radical scars and see conflicting information online. Can anyone provide information to me concerning this? It is greatly appreciated.
