My daughter gave me three for my birthday. They are identical except in different colors. Soft and warm with ample cuff for headband. I won't include them in my show.
This one is grey with silver. First one.
This one i picked up from a basket at the Cancer center.
I knit this one. One of my favorites when I am wearing the right colors.
A simple triangular scarf, fussy to catch the right angle at the back with the tie-ends. I do like it, but not in this weather.
This one fits closely, no room for a slouch at the back. Comfortable around the house.

I got a discontinued McCall's pattern (4116 at Etsy). This imitates the triangular scarf. Fussy to make but pie-easy to put on. I have ordered four different jerseys in solid colors. Very few options for buying fabric in this town. Option for adding interlining to add hair-imitating bulk to it, I use baby batting.
Here is what I had sitting around the house.
Plain black, enough room for either slouch or headband.
Here is the skin-head look-- or maybe the cone-head.
I saw this one on the internet, and tried to imitate it. One of the patterns is a variant, and was a disaster. I know how to rescue it now, but haven't gotten a roundtuit yet.
Made from double-sided thick fleece. Heavenly in windchill -20 weather.
So when I get the jersey ones made up, will show them. They look like a triangular scarf, but are not fussy to put on. I call them the maid's cap.
I have learned soft fabric, plenty of room and maybe some batting to imitate some hair, solid colors are best. Moving to spring and summer, the beanie look would be too warm, the scarf look is better.

I like the purple and blue one as well.
I'm through chemo and my hair is back but this would have been helpful when I was bald. I wound up buying chemo caps off amazon and one from my cancer center. I only really liked a few of them. I never did figure out how to tie an oblong scarf around my head, which is too bad because I already had a bunch of them.
BTW, you are adorable and your house looks very cozy.

Aww- thanks. When I did this for friends and family, ther were more appreciative of my personal appearance than I am, too. Yes, thank you; a cozy apartment is my goal. The thing behind me was a quilt in the process of being finished. All bagged up and ready to go.

I enjoyed these photos and ideas. Yesterday I got a small package, an order from headcovers.com. I haven't lost my hair yet, so trying them on doesn't give me a very good idea of how they'll look.
Pretty sure that when I go out, I'll have to amp up the makeup and earrings so I don't feel like I've disappeared! Fortunately, my new glasses have red frames.

I have shed the headcovers except for chilly days. PM me if you want one slightly used scarf. I have some knitted ones, too.
I brush my head with my hand, the opposite way it grows, and it looks cool.
