Second biopsy - new lump?

Hello all-

Joining after an appointment today. In 2012 I had a biopsy done on a large lump in my left breast I have had since age 15 or so. The radiologist said they couldn't say it was a cyst as there was no fluid in it, so biopsy was ordered. It came back as benign tissue.

At my yearly exam this week my doctor referred me for imaging again on it so I had an ultrasound and 3D mammography today. Doctor said it's a different lump! Said old one was a cyst at 6:00 and this is a different mass at 5:00. What are the odds a new mass shows up right next to an old one!? Biopsy for this one ordered.

Good news:(?) I'm only 33. No breast cancer on either side of family. Very healthy. Have had one benign mass before. Nothing in the lymph nodes at all.

Bad news: I'm 33 on my second biopsy for one small area of my breast in which freaky sh*t keeps growing. I almost wonder if this is the cyst still but it's now got biopsy scar tissue all over it (and some calcification) since it's right next to where the "old" lump was. Lump needs biopsy for "moderate" concern which doesn't seem great.

Anyone ever had a second suspicious mass grow right nex to where another one had previously been and all was okay?
