hi. JUST WANNA KNOW IF ANYONE HAS THIS SIDE EFFECT. Just started my 1st cycle. Its been 4hrs and my my chest hurts a bit. Its like compressing but not that bad. Like 2 out of 10 pain scale. But its not normal for me. I just wanna know if anyone has experienced it. I feel normal other than that. No stomach pain or nausea or anytging. Just my chest is compressing at the center and its bugging me out. I can breath normally but theres a stabbing pain. Compressing my chest. My onc said that it may be the meds reacting. Im not thinking well right now. And im freaking out. And also, do u wear masks? Just wondering. Thank u for ur time! I appreciate it so much if someone could tell me im not the only one experiencing this.

I would chest pain in the location of my heart the day after but it would be minor and my heart scans have been fine. Allergic reactions can occur with this chemotherapy though so keep your medical team posted.

I did. I called the oncologist and he send me immediately to emergency room, fearing blood clots. I am surprised that your onc did not recommend you this. Blood clots are common in cancer patients, and the ones in lungs can manifest with very little pain.

In my case they did not find anything. The chest pain stayed with me until a few months after I finished Herceptin and Perjeta, and always become more pronounced with physical effort, so I believe it was heart-related. The intensity varied from a 2 to a 7, with exercise.

Best wishes with your treatment. Before you know it, this will be behind you!

Cassie, life will be better after this. You are young and you will recover physically unlike many of us who were older. And you'll fear nothing after this, typical life bumps will seem insignificant.

My lump ached too after infusion, I think is a good sign, the medicine works. I never had nausea and vomiting, but I did have acid reflux later in the treatment. My major side effect was bone pain from Neulesta. That was gone after I changed the medication to Neupogen. These are medication to help one make white blood cells.

During chemo (and since then, but to a lesser extent) I fasted 16 to 20 hours a day. My food intake was between noon to 4 pm most of the days. I used a plant based diet. You should search these threads with the key word fasting, other people have done it and see what they say too.

I never took medication for nausea or vomiting. They give me something with along with the chemo, but I did not take anything at home.

I also walked every day. Lots of days I walked 5 miles, but some day I walked less. I had to force myself to keep moving. This was the most effective thing that would help me feel better overall (except for the chest pain).

Finally, you should search this threads for more information. There is a thread for TCHP side effects, you could learn more about that.
