pam- I agree with the mods, try posting as a separate topic to get more responses. You have had them in a Long time, but my guess is there are other who had had the same experience. 40 isn't bad, and a lot can happen in 2 weeks. Mine went from around 80 to 30 in 2 weeks, so fingers crossed!

I had bilateral mastectomies 12/20/18. I STILL have 2/4 drains. One put out 60 cc yesterday.

    COME ON!!!!

Will I ever get these out???? Almost 8 weeks. I can't take them much longer. They hurt so bad. Left side is total seroma too.

It's not just seroma and lymphedema. It's also seroma and scar tissue. When I had the LD reconn, the PS only put drains on the front. I had huge seromas on the back, where the LD was prelevated. It felt like I was laying on water cushions. I asked him about draining them, he said they will resorb, I asked about scar tissue, he said "it will be ok". Well I have scar tissue on 2/3 of my torso, it feels like I'm always wearing a corset, and I have to getscar breaking massage every other month, if I want to be able to breathe. I wasn't able to take a deep breath since I had the surgery 9 1/2 years ago.
