I am due to stop my tamoxifen after ten years in the summer and I am now almost 55, had Breast Cancer Grade 2 with microscopic in one lymph node and had chemo, surgery with no reconstruction and then radiation and hormone therapy. I am hoping no periods come back as have had done since second chemo. My oncologist does not think they will. Anyone had this experience? I had no real problems with tamoxifen and feels weird coming off it soon. Glad but nervous

I'm in the same boat! Due to stop after 10 years this May and it's making me nervous ... however, my onco said there are no benefits to staying on it longer and I'm hoping maybe I'll be able to lose weight more easily? ;)

I really haven't had any side effects that I'm aware of, but maybe I'm just used to it after so long.
