Hello Everyone,

I wanted to share my experience, although I know everyone's situation is different. But this may bring you peace of mind until you can go to the doctor/get the results back from your doctor. I developed a breast lump around two years ago, and it went away on its own in about 1-2 months. I got another lump (pea-sized, left breast, round, rolls between my fingers) in what feels like a duct (however the doctor said it's not in the duct) around a year ago. And it still hasn't gone away. I was worried sick and had no insurance. I finally got around it by going to Planned Parenthood. The visit was only ~$60 and they gave me a referral for an ultrasound (ultrasound is $120-160 for one breast). Thank God, it came back benign. It is still present in my breast, but it is benign.

I am writing this post for a number of reasons. First, I took birth control at a pretty young age and I am told that can contribute to breast lumps. So if you are in your 20s and have a similar experience or hormonal fluctuations, maybe it's the same for you. I also itch frequently down below (private area), but it is not an infection -- neither yeast nor bacterial vaginosis. Second, if you cannot afford a doctor, go to planned parenthood. They do breast exams, and it is incredibly affordable. They have a wealth of other health services that aren't related to abortions, as well. I wish you all the best of luck. And please go to the doctor as soon as you can. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have, as well.

I'm so glad Planned Parenthood came through for you! They are such a great organization doing vital work for women of all ages (really for men too). I'm not in a position to give nearly as much as I wish I could, but I make a monthly donation and hope it makes some small difference! I'm glad they were there for me when I needed them, and I hope they can always be there when needed.
