Hi everyone. I am 26 years old, and i am waiting on a biopsy. I was have a dull aching pain in my right breast, but i could not find a lump and my GYN could not either. I breastfed from Sept 2017-November 2018, so i thought this was related.

US revealed 8mm hypoechoic mass with anhular and microlobulated margins at 6 o'clock. The mass contains echogenic foci consistent with microcalcifications.

Mamo revealed diffuse punctate calcifications grouped at 6 o'clock and throughout breast as well as loosely grouped punctate, amorphous, and fine heterogeneous calcifications at 12 o'clock extending over a 2cm area anterior to posterior.

The scan also shows that i have extremely dense breasts. My grandmother had breast cancer, but she was diagnosed in her 60s. I am the first female in the family since her.

    Has anyone had something similar?

Hi Gpowell15: Unfortunately that sounds familiar......my grandmother had breast cancer twice. First was dx in her 60's I believe. Then in May of 2017 my maternal aunt was waiting on results of a biopsy. I was worried about her. And I never do manual exams. Long story but I happened to feel something in one of my breasts in May 2017 too. I thought it was nothing. My aunt got her biopsy back with a dx of lobular breast cancer the same day I was driving home from having a ultrasound and being told I needed a biopsy! Until that time it had just been my Grandmother who had breast cancer. My mom has had some scares....lumps that she had biopsies on but not cancer.

I have extremely dense breast tissue. My mother who is in her 70's still has dense breast tissue.

I can't speak to all the particulars you stated above regarding your biopsy....it is all greek to me. But the extremely dense tissue I understand....I have that too. They completely missed my tumor on my diagnostic 3D mammogram. They did a ultrasound afterwards and saw it clearly though. Then I had a biopsy which confirmed cancer.

please keep us posted on what you find out. I hope all is ok! I know what it is like to wait for results! This website has been very helpful for me learning about dense breast tissue: https://www.areyoudense.org/
