edited February 2019 in Not Diagnosed But Worried

6 months ago I had a mammogram and ultrasound, Birads 3, notes below. I wasn’t really too concerned about it. The notes were in my patient portal last time within a day. This week I hadn’t a follow up. I expected these to have been cysts that went away. All the tech said was that the radiologist said it was stable and come back in 6 months. No notes in my patient portal. I wish I would have asked more questions- what does stable mean? And doesn’t a complex cyst sometimes have to be biopsied? What makes this one not so? (Curious, not asking for a biopsy). And from what I’ve read, hypoexhoic, complex cysts and Microcysts are very differently things...so how’s couldn’t it be “either/or”?

Thoughts, opinions appreciated.

Focused ultrasound performed through the lower left breast demonstrates a hypoechoic structure with tiny cystic spaces reflecting likely cluster of microcysts measuring approximately 8 x 5 x 8 mm. No vascularity. There is also adjacent smaller complex cystic structure or cluster of microcysts measuring approximately 5 mm.
