Smoothie ingredients
I think my best discovery is milled flax seed. Helps avoid diarrhea and constipation.
Tofu, but you have to cut it up and freeze it. I cut up a whole package, added enough juice to my blender, and gave it a whirl. Nice thick texture, divided it into 1/4 cup globs in a cake pan and froze it. Now in a package, ready to dole out into servings, always fresh.
Packages of mixed spring greens, again, freeze it, because you want to rotate your ingredients.
I ground some sunflower seeds-- in moderation, because the taste can overpower other ingredients.
ground walnut meats.
Dry milk powder.
Greek yogurt.
Frozen fruit blends.
The usual whey powder.
What else have I not thought of?

MCBaker I make a morning smoothie every day with fresh spinach, a banana, 1/2 cup full fat greek yogurt, a scoop of Teras whey protein powder, and frozen blueberries. I am definitely going to try some of your options though. I get my ground flax seeds in my morning oatmeal. I just dump them in. Thanks for the thread!

I use turmeric in capsules-- appears to have an anti-inflammatory effect. I have seen others recommend it in smoothies. Sweet in small amounts gets hotter as you increase amount, but not much.
The brighter fruits have more nutritional value, too. Cherries strawberries cranberries blueberries. And the yellows-- mango, sweet potato, peach. Banana would be awfully boring.

chia seeds!

I am going to try broccoli sprouts.

I keep my morning smoothie as Paleo as possible - 4 cups greens, 2 slices ginger, 1/3rd cup coconut cream, 1 cup kombucha, 1 cup berries, smidge of dulce flakes (for the iodine) and 1 cup ice - all blended in my 20 yr old Vitamix. We bought all our kids Vitamixes for Christmas one year because they make smoothies too and nothing beats a vitamix

"Super Greens" powder (dessicated green juice, made with many organic greens)
Reishi Mushroom powder
Matcha powder

Broccoli sprouts (or alfa-alfa)

Ya'll have convinced me I need to step up my game on my smoothie! Although maybe I can just add a little rum to mine
