Hello Everyone!!

Thank you for having me. I randomly found a hard tubular lump that is about 1.5" in diameter before Christmas. I was pending new health insurance 01/01 so I couldn't get in to see a Dr. until 1/18. I had my diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound 1/23. It cam back stating I had multiple solid masses at the 9 o'clock position. Four of them well defined with the largest being 4.6 x .5 cm. my BI-RAD was a 4. The radiologist recommends an ultrasound guided core biopsy of the two largest masses. I can't get in for the biopsies until 2/26 because I need a double time slot I saw a breast surgeon yesterday and she feels comfortable with waiting another month being my BI-RAD was not a 5....I'm not. I plan on calling every day to check for cancellations. The breast surgeon of course told me not to worry and that it can be anything. I am 54 and 20 years post menopausal as I had a total hysterectomy at 35 with no hormone therapy. In your opinion is another month of waiting ok if the the surgeon is comfortable with it?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

D.
