    That that is very expensive. And it's really a shame that they would charge you so much. Do you have any other options in your area? I believe my single nipple tattoo was $250. And it included a free touch up about a year later.I went to Philadelphia for mine. Are you near there? I could give you the contact information for my tattoo artist who I absolutely adore

    Do you know if insurance might cover any of it?

    This is frustrating because I also need eyebrows, which also cost 600 (microblading). I can’t imagine either procedure requires 6 hours of work.

    I am not sure why but after 7 years I feel sad that the 2 attempts at tattooing at the doctor's office failed. Completely faded to nothing. I feel incomplete. This year I am doing it.

    Have have you checked with your insurance company to see if they would cover a portion of the cost? There's also an organization called pink Inc. Org. And they give out grants to help women pay for 3-D nipple tattoos.

    My insurance did pay for the 2 failed attempts at the plastic surgeon's office.

    I had asked this question to several people as well. Especially since my insurance will pay for nipples to be constructed but will not pay for tattoos. Go figure.

    Every person that responded had told me that their reconstructed nipples all eventually went flat and suggested tattoos instead.

    Philaflash,

    I go to Vinnie on Thursday. Did you tip him? Never even thought about that! How did it go? I'm a little scared! My PS said I sholud play around at home first cut out pieces of paper in different sizes and try and figure out the best placement. Do you think that's worthwhile? When I asked Vinnie's office they said they would do it at the appt but I don't want to fee rushed.

    My reconstructed nipples did NOT go flat. They seemed comically long when the surgeon first did them. He told me ahead of time so I wouldn't be shocked. He said it was necessary for them to end up the right size. He was right. I love my reconstructed nipples! Just get a surgeon who knows what he's doing if you're going to get them.

    SDWoman, no, I had my PS do the nipples then went to Maryland to have Vinnie do my tattoos (had a mini-vacation with my sister). They really look great, I couldn't be happier with the combination.

    Hey hey there I thought I saw a recent post from you but I can't find it now it says you got an estimate for $600 for one nipple tattoo.

    Before you move ahead with that, please look into sharsheret. They recently launched a new program to give breast cancer patients free services and that includes nipple tattoos. You must go through them and their providers that are part of the program called best face forward 2.0. I'm connected with the administrator for that program. Her name is Stacy Butler. And here is her email. Tell her I sent you.

    The others free services offered through this new program are cold caps for chemo and wigs in case the cold caps don't work.

    and again there will be no cost to you if you go through sharsheret and use their providers. For any of this.

    If any one is looking for a great tattoo artist who specializes in 3D nipple tattoos, Lenny Renken from Omaha does amazing work! I'd even dare to say as good, if not better than Vinny's tattoos. Completely blown away at how good mine turned out!
