Chemotherapy and (neurological) vision changes

Has anyone had any vision changes due to chemotherapy?

I've had some fairly conventional changes but some unconventional ones as well.

During chemotherapy I experienced some visual field artifacts. This wasn't due to the effects of the chemotherapy on my eyes but the effects of the chemotherapy induced anemia on my visual cortex. It wasn't a major side effect, and has almost completely resolved but I've noticed a curious thing.

I have a much greater affinity for aesthetically pleasing things now than I did before the chemotherapy.

Flowers, cars, jewelry. I saw a necklace the other day that struck me enough that I considered buying it but I don't wear jewelry and had no interest in wearing the necklace, I just wanted to look at it. Today a sports car with a custom paint job passed us on the freeway and just the car against the green hills and blue sky struck me as particularly nice looking, when previously, I would not have felt particularly struck by either of these things.

My eye doctor told me many things can change in the eyes, especitally vision changes during and after chemotherapy. They would not give me an eye exam during chemo even though I could no longer wear my contact lenses (also a result of chemo). Finally found an eye doctor who did one and got me some temporary glasses with the warning that 6 months after chemo I was to get them checked again.

Not sure about things being more aesthetically pleasing - I always attributed that to being thankful for being alive, but one never knows!
