Is there something I can do to make chemotherapy go better? A regiment of vitamins, perhaps?

    Hi!

The most important thing you can do is to stay hydrated. Carry a bottle of water or some other non-caffeinated drink with you at all times. It's easy to get dehydrated (especially if you have diarrhea), and that will make you feel weaker than you would otherwise.

Also, try to stay ahead of your side-effects. If you know that you'll feel nauseous on Day 3, take your anti-nausea medication when you wake up on Day 3. I'd get diarrhea on Day 3, so I always took my Imodium that morning.

I wouldn't take any vitamins or supplements without checking in with your medical oncologist (MO) first. They can interfere with the workings of the chemo.

    Good luck!

There is a ton you can do. Supplements, exercise, and other things. Get Dr Keith Block's book "Life Over Cancer." Fasting briefly around chemo day helps a lot. A naturopathic physician can help you with more detail pertinent to you and your diagnosis. I took a lot of supplements and followed Dr Block's rec's.
