34 yr old Husband, looking for answers with my soulmate
Good evening, my apologies for this post but, I'm lost. My work requires me to travel all over this country and overseas. I'm currently training in CA and my wife calls me from CT to tell me the lump she discovered was sent to the OB and Radiologist for an emergency mammogram and sonogram(?). She is terrified, they have scheduled a biopsy on Monday 21JAN2019.
It has been there for at least 2 year... the doctor said it is .5"-1" in length and is not a cyst. She also discovered another one in the breast in a different area, with finding multiple cysts in her other breasts. I've been hysterical for most of the night, I try to stay strong when we face-time and talk. I'm looking up absolutely everything on it. I'm looking into natural remedies.
Please help, any advice would be appreciated and I truly am desperate and distraught. we have a little boy who just turned 1 years old in January. We're in the process of moving to a new home that, is everything we were looking for and this just came up out of left field. "One day the universe just stops and says - Ah there you are, a happy couple. I've been looking for you..."

Try to remain calm, biopsies 80% come back benign. The odds are against cancer. Good luck.

It's a very stressful time for both of you. We know, we've all been there. Let's hope that it's just a false alarm. Be strong. Sorry that your wife and you have to go through this.

Chris, thanks for writing. I agree with others that the odds are in your wife's favor, so do try to stay optimistic and also try to stay away from "Dr. Google." So much on the Internet is wrong, and right now the only "natural" steps to take would be the tried-and-true eating better, exercising more, and not smoking. I'm wishing you and your family the best of luck.

Thank you all so much...
My wife's the strongest woman I know, and it was tough to see her break down. Do I cry with her or does that make her more upset? We've had a very close relationship from the beginning. How do I handle that, can I cry with her? Should I call her when I'm a mess at night or should I just try and keep a straight face? What does she need from me?

Be yourself and honest with her. This is very scary the unknown is the worst. But if she does have cancer be grateful it was caught. Having cancer is not a death sentence you get all the information decide on a treatment plan and move on from there. Seven years ago I thought my life was over. I went and had surgery took medication and I slowly started to live again. I hope you get good news soon.

Generally the advice is, comfort in, dump out. I would say you should find a friend to cry to and to work through the some of your feelings. That way, your can be there for your partner. She may want to cry *with* her, but I suspect that now is not the time to cry *to* her.

My husband was amazing. He tried so hard to keep me occupied to take my mind off the upcoming biopsy. He was also sweet and tender by making me a romantic supper.
For me looking back, worrying about him is not something I was capable of at the time and he made sure I didn't have to in his own creative ways. I had to wait 10 days before they could get me in for my 3 biopsies so he had to work hard to keep me occupied! I felt so loved! He gave me the strength to know that all would be ok even if it was cancer which it turned out to be.
