edited January 2019 in Waiting for Test Results

I had a ultrasound and mamo 6 months ago for pain in my breast where they found several likely benign masses and recommended to repeat scans in 6 months. 6 months later they found one new suspicious mass on the right and 2 on the left are larger and now irregular. I had bilateral core biopsies on Thursday....now I wait...kind of tired if people saying it's probably nothing and not to worry, sometimes you just want someone you can cry with..

so sorry you are in the waiting game. It really is a stressful position to be in. I completely understand what you are saying. I heard that from the few people I told while waiting for my results. It did feel dismissive of my fears. I did want someone to say, “well this sucks, must be scary as hell waiting for the results.” I wish you the best as you wait for your results!

Waiting by far is the hardest part.  Hoping all goes well for you.

I know exactly what you're going through. I had a biopsy Friday and with the weekend it'll be at least Wednesday until I find out anything. I've been waiting over a month for the appointments and a year since the symptoms started.

Waiting is seriously awful. I feel like I can't concentrate on anything and time has never seemed to go any slower. It’s true that sometimes you just need people to say “this sucks”. Cause it does.

PM me if you want to talk, and hope you get good news so soon!!

As someone who was in your shoes exactly one year ago I can assure that the waiting SUCKS! For me it was the worst part, once I had a confirmed diagnosis and treatment plan it was easier to deal with. Dealing with the unknown and waiting to find out was frustrating because the only thing I could do was wait and waiting has never been my best talent.

To those of you who are waiting, may your wait be as short as possible, may your results be manageable, and may you have a good support system as you work your way through this.
