Tamoxifen longer than 10 years?

I have been on Tamoxifen for just over 10 years and am due for my annual physical. Has anyone here been taking it for more than 10 years? I'm 55 now, was diagnosed and treated in 2008. So far so good. Haven't had any problems or adverse side effects. A little afraid to stop taking it. Just wondered what others experience was with it at the 10 year mark.

    You are a trooper. I have been on it for less than a year and cannot stand it. Many side effects. Regardless, MO mentioned that they are using circulating tumor cell tests now to see if patients need to stay on it longer than five years. Maybe this is an option to look into? Not sure if it is actually available yet or just close.
