Lymph Node/Armpit Aches during Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy

Hi all-

I finished finished 4 rounds of neoadjuvant adriamycin/cytoxan just before Christmas and am on day three after my first Taxol treatment last Thursday. I've been feeling some aches in both of my armpits - cancer only diagnosed on my left side. Early on, I did have a PET scan that showed some minimally reactive lymph nodes on the right side, but an ultrasound determined that the lymph nodes looked normal and likely, the reactivity on the PET was from a biopsy performed a few weeks earlier on the right side. MRI (before biopsy and PET) did not show any abnormal lymph nodes. I asked my doctor about the pains at my last visit. She could not feel any abnormal nodes on either side.

Question: Why would I be feeling these pains in my armpits? Could this just be my body processing the chemotherapy? Obviously I'm worried that its because there is cancer in the nodes... Anyone else experienced this?

Thank you!

I had pain in my breast in area of my tumor. I think it's a good sign of chemo killing cancer. The first time I noticed my tumor had shrunk it was preceded by a sizzle tingle in the tumor that prompted me to touch it. The nodes also process the dead cells out. I had a lot of sensations in my breast all through chemo.
