National News States New Information on TaylorX Study

Yesterday National News was carrying information about the TaylorX study. It states that women with scores under 18 could forego chemo. Where is the information on this study?

I guess do a site search under "TaylorX"? I remember coming across several references to the numbers last summer when I had my surgery. I was a 17, so no chemo in spite of one slightly affected node. And I think women in the intermediate range no longer automatically get chemo.

I still question some of the cut-offs. Specifically for me, I was a month shy of 50 when DX but many of us are told our cancers "have been there for several years." If that is true, what if I had believed the mammogram (negative) and not fought to get the MRI. Gone back the following year, which would put me at 51 if I got the dx then. My score, being 20, would then indicate no chemo yet the year before, it would have been considered a possibility.

Wallycat, I agree. My dx was 8/07. Same year as you. I was 51. I had an Oncotype of 11 with a 2.2 cm IDC. No chemo because of the TaylorX. I did do 9 years of Arimidex.
