    Dear Bamb,

I have been reading these forums day and night and I have read so many successful stories, not only with mastectomies, but also with lumpectomies. I am only telling my story if it can help.

If I were you, I will see as many surgeons as you need and also another oncologist until you feel confortable. Also reading here. I think information is the most important thing even though it can be overwhelmed.

One thing I used to do was writing in a notebook real successful stories from here. It helped me a lot. I used to write their nicknames and what they were doing, their treatment, if they do sports, what diet, and things like that.

I wish you all the best

I saw 3 surgeons and 2 oncologists and 2 radiation oncologists until I was satisfied. I had my first surgery 2 days before Christmas in 2000. Here I am 18 years later, no evidence of disease. Holding your hand.
