Did your lymph nodes itch
Hi all, so strange question. About two inches from my arm pit down the inside of my BC side arm, I feel a small pea size lump. The only reason I noticed it was the area is itchy. Constantly for the laat week. I know if it persists for 2-3 weeks I should see a doctor, but curious if anyone who had mets to lymph nodes and had itching as a symptom , and did you have any effected lymph nodes located in a similar spot as I described. Thanks for any input.

Hi. No, not really. Mine was very large and non-itchy. It could just be the lymph node doing its job, removing the lymph and it got aa little stuck. You can try massaging it with a warm wet towel and then make the appointment as you said.

MexicoHeather, thx for your response!! Trying anti itch medication
amd will add cold and /or warm conpresses. Thx for the idea.
Hoping one of them will kick in.
Also had a massage last night so maybe that will help.. she did focus on the area since it was bothering me.

If it persists, get it checked!

funny, I am always telling others not to worry about bothering doctors, they work for you, go get things checked. Here I am not listening to my own advice

I had an itch near my lymph nodes in the area between my breast and armpit which is what caused my initial concern in Sept 2014. I wasn't conducting a self exam - just sitting in front of the TV when it happened. The palm of my hand then landed on a harder mass in that quadrant of my breast as well. The following week I had it checked out by OB-Gyn and they sent me for a mammogram followed by radio guided U/S at age 35. It was breast cancer IDC Stage 2 with micrometastatic lymph node involvement.
It is always good to get checked for something outside the norm with your body.

Thanks Jen2369!

I have those areas itching occasionally because I think that even after nearly 11 years, nerves are still regenerating. I've never felt a lump or mass though....yet.

I am having itching issues too below armpit along inside of arm where lymph nodes were removed.
This is worse when i am exercising and get hot so I think it is to do with nerve regeneration...
