I am a year out from being diagnosed with breast cancer at age 29 with three young children and a husband. Over the past year my husband and I have taken turns writing down our journey on our blog: www.tojenshealth.com
I am inviting you to read it and hopefully help with your journey. It may be useful for husbands as well. My husband was not able to find much support for spouses and this is a discreet way for men to feel supported. The blog starts with the most recent entry so read from the bottom up. The first entry is "surgery update" which is the day after by bilateral mastectomy. I was diagnosed at stage 2A, with 2 tumors apx. 1 cm which were both totally undetected in both mammograms and ultrasounds. Out of 14 nodes, 1 was positive for cancer...I was ER/PR + her 2 -. I had a bilteral mastectomy with reconstruction (implants) followed by four months of chemo...4 AC, 4 Taxol and now will take tamoxifen for 5 years. Hope this helps and BLESS YOU ALL. You WILL get through this!
