Now a 17 year survivor of Stage 4 MBC de novo!!!
December 16 was the beginning of my 17th year! I have been on chemo for 16 3/4 years, currently NED, and on Herceptin and Xeloda for maintenance.
Original liver mets, then 8 years ago I presented with chest node mets. I was also on Kadcyla but that doesn't seem to be an option for my tx.

thank you so much for coming here and sharing your news with us! I feel like it offers so much hope in what can feel like a death sentence.
Any words of wisdom as far as how you’ve lived your life and choices you’ve made medically and non-medically that you believe helped you along?
Hugs!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! WHAT AN INSPIRATION!!!
-
Thanks everyone!
Brenda...I just try to eat a mostly healthy diet, but I do cheat a bit. Really, a semi-healthy diet is all you need since food won't cure us.
I don't smoke or drink alcohol and won't touch any drugs, including the ever popular cannabis. I don't take any supplements, unless they are approved by my onc and specialty pharmacist.
-
Denny-Thanks for the tips. I was wondering too so I am glad Brenda asked. Here's to many more years of good health for all of us! (And a cure, of course).
-
