Just a few nights ago while visiting my daughter for Christmas we were involved in a bad car accident but are both okay. The next day I discovered a very large lump in my left breast! I check pretty regularly but this thing grew out of nowhere! It is hard and oval almost the size of a large pecan. It is toward the bottom of my breast and deep.

Now, I am out of town until Dec 27th but still can't get in for a mammagram until Jan2nd, but they did schedule me for an ultrasound as well. I had a Supracervical hysterectomy in 2009 and stopped Estrogen about three years ago. No hormones to be a contributing factor. At 53 I am worried to say the least. No history of breast cancer in my family but I am not prone to cysts and have fairly small breasts.

Anyone have a similar start?

Were you driving or passenger and were you wearing a seatbelt?

I was a passenger. The seatbelt was on the other side of my chest. I had no impact on my chest. At first I thought a bloodclot had traveled from my leg. My leg was impacted by the flex of the car. We were hit from behind then shoved into another car. The glovebox reached out and smacked my right leg enough to burst blood vessels. The lump in my breast has not changed at all since I discovered it and there is no pain. It is in the lowest part of my breast in the back. The only reason I even have breasts is due to weight gain over the years! lol.
