Bra after pre-pec reconstruction
I am 6 weeks out and am wearing these stretchy tank type bralettes by Jockey 24/7. I'm curious what others are wearing, my PS pretty much said “wear whatever is comfortable". I hate underwire, and I'm finding that padding isn't very comfortable and makes me look bigger than I want, so I just took the pads out of the ones I have. My nipples are there and don’t project at all so they aren’t obvious. Is that enough support? I find this aspect overwhelming

My pre pecs are relatively small (190 and 215cc) and I only need a little bit of support to be comfortable. I hate padding, even moreso since my boobs became numb. I'm also avoiding underwires because the wire ends right at my scars and it gets pokey. I find a lot of sports bras uncomfortable at the armholes - the piping/seams are too thick and they dig in right where the implant ends and it's super irritating. I also prefer bras with hooks because they're just easier to get on, and hookless bras always seem to wind up uncomfortably bunched over my poor chest for a few moments while I'm getting them on/off. I've found the following to work for me:
These have no hooks but they're pretty easy to get on/off: https://www.fruit.com/women/bras/sport/womens-stra...
This one works for me but may be too little support for most people: https://www.target.com/p/women-s-velvet-triangle-b...
This one has pretty good support but is more constrictive than the others: https://www.target.com/p/women-s-modern-bralette-g...
This one is my favorite: https://www.wacoal-america.com/embrace-lace-wire-f...
I just got this one, haven't worn it yet: https://www.target.com/p/women-s-brushed-micro-tri...
I had bought these for post mastectomy but find them too compressive now, plus they have the arm hole problem I'm trying to avoid but they might work for you:

I'm planning on an implant revision (to go flatter, more like my pre-mx size) so I'm not investing a whole lot in bras right now, but it's just too uncomfortable to go without.
Good luck! My PS told me it was fine to go braless if that was comfortable for me, so I wouldn't worry about not having enough support as long as you're comfortable.

Hapa, thanks for the response! I’m relatively small too (240cc’s) but they translate to maybe a full b small c because my ribcage is very narrow.
Those Wacoal ones are very pretty! Thanks for the suggestions. I have issues with digging in my armpit too, which is why I just keep wearing these:

I was never made to wear a bra after surgery, and haven't since. Five months with tissue expanders, don't own a single bra at 350ccs. If I was going to continue with implant swap (currently am exploring DIEP), I'd definitely never own a bra again. They stand up on their own.
