Chemo options TC vs CFM

hello everyone, I was recently diagnosed with Stage 1A multifocal invasive cancer with no lymphovascular invasion.

Estrogen receptor positive

Progestrone receptor positive

HER 2 negative

Oncotype score @ 20

In consultation with 2 different Oncologists, we have received 2 different treatment options. One suggested CFM @ 8 sessions with 2 week intervals. The other suggested TC @ 4 sessions with 3 week interval.

We are totally confused as to what we should do...

Please share your experiences if anyone has faced a similar dilemma

A score of 20 er and pr positive , I would do hormone therapy not chemo.

forgot to state I am only 43 yrs old, therefore both oncologists suggested chemo

I was 53, I guess 10 years makes a big difference. My oncodx was 34, so chemo was recommended.

I would pick CMF. I did Taxotere 7 years ago and never got my hair back and I have crippling neuopathy in my feet.

I'm not a fan of Taxotere. Best of luck to you!!

CFM is a longer treatment time and might have easier side effects, also my oncologist said only 25% lose their hair. You could always cold cap. I agree with Jackster taxotere should be avoid highest risk of permanent hair loss

I forgot to mention I was diagnosed as multifocal multicentric, but after mastectomy the pathology stated 2 completely separate tumors with 95% confidence, so downgraded to multicentric.

I did TC and my hair came back just fine. In fact I never went completely bald. TC is very doable.
