6 month follow up mammo

Hey everybody. I had a mammogram 6 months ago and I got a call back because they saw something in my right breast. I went back for diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound and they said that it was fine. They just wanted to see me in 6 months. So I just went yesterday and I had another diagnostic mammogram of just my right breast, that's where they said they saw something. I waited in the waiting Room the doctor came in and said I'm OK to go they just want check both breast again in 6 months and didn't order an ultrasound.

My doctor now called with the report and tells me that the a symmetry is still there in the same spot but there's no change. What does that even mean? The doctor yesterday did not seem concerned and she did not send me for an ultrasound. So now I'm kind of freaking out.

    Hi there Briacha and so sorry you have this stress right before the holiday. Geez. I wouldn't worry too much, but I would ask them to send you copies of all of the reports. There will be some good information in there to help you figure out what they're tracking and we are here to help! It's probably just a precaution that they want to see you again in 6 months rather than 12.
