I am BRCA positive, 33 and a mother of two. I did a full hysterectomy for preventative purposes seven years ago. I decided to go ahead with a radical mastectomy with a tram flap, my doctor ordered an MRI to make sure there was nothing already there. He was great spent an hour with me in the office and did the physical exam with no findings (phew) my MRI was December 6th, Monday the 10th I received a phone call that stopped me in my tracks. They have found two masses, one in each. Now I’m obviously very panicked and a total mess, they can not get Me into have an ultrasound until January 2nd (ugh) and that is only to see if they can see the masses, from there they’ll decide if the biopsy needs to be conducted in the MRI. I’m struggling with telling my kids or just waiting in panic. Thanks for reading:

    Hi Anne85-

We know how scary this is, and we're sorry you're experiencing this worry right now (especially with the holidays just around the corner!). The waiting is definitely the hardest part, but we would suggest holding off on telling your children until there's something to tell them. Lean on your family as you get through these next couple of weeks, and of course all of us are here for you every step of the way! Please keep us posted on how you're doing.

Thanks so much :) thanks for the advice about the children and I completely agree, I just feel like they can obviously tell something is off. It’s definitely difficult to put that smile on all day. Thanks so mcu
