    I can't say my reports showed the same but I wanted to reach out to you to let you know I understand the stress related to a change in follow up and the waiting that goes along with it. Please know you're not alone in your concern. Try to find a way to laugh today - I promise it helps.

    Hi Mimi,

    I'm so sorry that you're here. I think a BiRads 1 score is an inconclusive result, as opposed to indicating that there are no signs of disease. However, I do know that a 5 is highly suggestive of malignancy. Can the biopsy still come back benign? It sure can!

    But if it is, in fact, cancer, I want you to know that you are going to be OK. I promise. Again, YOU ARE GOING TO BE OK. A breast cancer diagnosis today is a million miles away from what it used to be for our grandmothers, mothers and aunts. Breast cancer is treatable. We'll be here to help as you wait for results, and celebrate with you if it's benign.

    No, a Birads 1 is a benign score. Birads 0 means that more testing is required.
