Had an appointment with the dentist for a filling. Face is just now feeling normal
-
so sad to hear about Susan 😢 my heart goes out to her family and friends.
-
Sorry to the family of Susan. She was an amazing person. She held on for years. Her family may or may have not know how many years. She endured chemo for years beyond the normal. Her MO as she would describe always had something in his trick bag. Her several things she wanted to--------see-------her daughters marriage-----------the birth of her grandchild------being involved with the grandchild...…... Which happened b/c they were in driving distance Then it all happened.
Sorry Susan, Thank you for being in my life. "Know that I Am"...…………………. -
Phyliis is declining, Pray for her She is not getting any support from family or friends, I am shocked. I did several requests. , they are working on it.
-
Hi Pawprint , sorry to see you here b/c Susan is gone. Glad to know you are here.
-
Ms. Sas, I am very sorry to hear about the decline and the lack of support....very cruel.
-
May Susan be happy forever in Paradise.
-
Hello Sas and all insomniacs
I sent a pretty Arrangement to be delivered to our Phyliss this morning. Signed the card
Love Brenda, Sas and the Owlettes
-
Thank you so much Beatmon. I'm feeling really sad about and for Phyliss.
-
Sas, were you able to talk to Phyllis today? I just called and the nurse took the phone in but she didn’t respond any other than an “umm”. The nurse said she had been restless or resting .....I couldn’t quite hear what she said because we were on speaker. ( The nurse did say our flowers had arrived and were very pretty). Heartbreakng
-
Beatmon, thank you. No act of kindness is ever wasted. Phyliss will know. XXX
-
Beatmon, thank you for your kindness. So true what Feline said.
-
Hellloooooooooooooo, Phyliss got the flowers yesterday while Sandy was visiting. She wasn't able to talk later b/c they had just given her morphine meds.
Talked with her a bit ago today. She's not able to talk, but can nod her head yes and no. She smiled at a couple of corny jokes. DS is visiting YAY
I had asked the other day for a minister to visit, they have been in. I asked for someone to sit with her, and they are 24/7
As an FYI, I technically had no right to ask for either, I'm not her surrogate Sandy is. BUT what the heck I asked. They did both. Technically, had no right to be asked to be put on the chart to be called, but they did. So, I guess in a same or similar circumstance....ask.... the least they can say is no.to any request.
Feeling much better about the situation. Her staff is very attentative and kind, watching closely as to when she needs meds. Plus, now she has someone at the bedside. That's important for those moments she wakes.. Just to see someone or maybe something as simple as water that she can't reach.
She and I never really talked religion much, but it bothered me that she may have not been baptized and what her wishes were if she wasn't. I asked tonight, and she has been baptized. Took a great worry away. Some won't understand, others will.
Talked with Beatmom and thanked her for the flowers. We both are going to have a couple of corny jokes for her, when we call.
Corny joke from the other day still using it. "Your like dandruff, I can't get you out of my head" 2nd corny joke. What's the difference between God and doctors?...……..God doesn't like to play doctor. Each call is finished with prayer.
Hugs

LOverly, will call soon, thanks for the thought

hi ladies. I didn’t realized Ive been off bco since middle of August. Where does the time go? Loverly let me know that Susan had passed. So sad, I think it’s harder when you have met someone from here. So glad that I did get to meet Susan, her daughter and Elena. She’s going to be 3 in a few months.
Evie turns 3 in 3 weeks. Plus she will have a baby brother in May. All is good here. All ready for Xmas.
Sas, if I remember right, your grandchild is due in January? Do they know the sex of the baby? Sorry to hear about phyliss. She’s been a fighter for a long time
-
An order of magnitude harder when you've met someone from the boards, Smaarty! In re Susan3, I'm thinking now I need to go back to the restaurants where we'd had meals. Just to finish things.
-
Smarrty, so glad Loverly let you know about Susan. I remember so well we had so much fun with both babies pictures. Of course, the names Elana(Claire's and Susan's GD) and Evie in my head always got mixed up. But we treasured their pictures.
YAY another Baby WHooooohhhhoooooooooo
Smarrty, you said you got to meet Susan. Please, would you describe every detail. ??
Yes, Stephen got married, as you knew. Now they are Prego, Expected delivery date is Jan 29th. As we know, it's thereabouts.
It's a boy, Chosen name at this point is Sawyer Joseph----Joseph was Stephen's dad's middle name.. Sawyer---one of the new names. Alternate considerations are Jackson and Grayson.
I was the hit of the shower with ohs, and ahhs, and whoops. I gave them a year of house cleaning
Never been the hit of a party, It was quite fun.
-
Okay , how did I come up with the idea of house cleaning. I tried to remember what was the worst about the first year. Then, I also gave the DS his baby book. The book was created in the Polaroid time. I wrote things on each picture with the old time grease pencil. It was a red thing that you wrote with and unwrapped bas the as the pencil was used.
There is a picture of me and Stephen at 4 weeks. I wrote "OMG 4 WEEKS" I totally looked dead and dragged. DEar Greg said "Your aren't putting that in the book?" I said "I sure am" Anyone who has gone through the first few weeks of life with a baby, will so understand this look". Of course , I was right.
-
I made up a phrase during the time that Stephen was a newborn. I thought. I would make it into a sampler ( cross stitch)).
" God makes you a Parent, by pushing you to the absolute point of exhaustion, and then he makes the baby wake up"Their is no one, not even yourself that you will wake up for, but the love of a child, and I must add, a love of an animal
I guess, I'm adding, if there is a love outside yourself you will wake up if you get a signal . My girl Schats can be a soft sound, get's me up right away. Other times from two rooms away she gives a louder sound. Dini never talks. He just comes and looks.

Smaaaaaaaarty!!!
So lovely to see you, just thinking of you a few days ago and wondering how you were.
Thought of you also when we had the national Kinit and Stitch show in Dublin. I wonder why?
Gosh it seems like a few weeks ago that there were Elena and Evie pictures flying up here, had to believe that that was 3 years ago.

Phyliss has passed. Her family was at the bedside.
