BC survivor with new concerns

I was diagnosed in September 2003 with DCIS & had a lumpectomy & 36 radiation treatments on my left breast. In the past few days I have noticed my right breast has dropped by about 3 inches lower than the left. This is the first indication my mother had that she had breast cancer. Obviously I am concerned & will call for a mammogram tomorrow morning. Does anyone have any information about anything else this change could be attributed to? Thank you for any feedback!

Dear teacheng123 - Sorry you are here and worried, but wanted to say welcome to the Community!

Dropping of the breast is not a typical symptom of breast cancer, but it's true that symptoms may vary widely, so it's important to have anything unusual checked by a doctor. Please update us when you learn more. We hope you will get answers from others here as well.

Good luck! We're thinking of you,
