Dry skin on nipple

Hi,

I have always had issues with my left breast, had a couple of concerns in the past and it’s always been nothing.

I recently noticed dry skin on my left nipple. It keeps coming back even though I put moisturizer on every morning. The breast is a little sore but nothing major. Should I have it checked or just assume it’s something new and just dry skin? I hate making an appointment for something so simple and explainable.

I always worry because I had a complete hysterectomy at 33, now 42 and have been on HRT since surgery

CCrill - You could try Vitamin E oil and see if that helps the dryness. Or an over the counter anti-itch cream may give you relief. I tried both before going to my Gyn then ultimately a dermatologist to have a punch biospy done. Keep us posted!

When I go braless for long periods of time ( spring break, winter break) the chaffing of the shirt causes my nipples to crack /peel? or when I realized Ive been wearing a loose fitting bra, the same thing happened. hope this helps a bit

CCrill - I did mine through my dermatologist. It's a small biopsy of the skin and the only way to test for Pagets.
