Hi everyone, first post. I’m a 29 year old female. About a month ago I noticed my right breast looked funny. It was protruding from the top and my nipple seemed to be inverting. I stupidly ignored it until about a week ago when I actually did a self exam and felt what seemed to be a huge lump. I scheduled an appointment with my pcp as my obgyn couldn’t get me in for a few weeks. My pcp did an exam, she noted that it was rock hard but mobile. She immediately ordered an ultrasound which I had done a few hours ago. The radiologist came in after the tech and did some imaging himself. He told me it’s measuring at approximately 4.5 centimeters in length. He said he couldn’t tell me if it was cancerous or not. Because of the size he said he would not recommend a biopsy but rather wants me to go to a surgeon and have it removed. My pcp called me after the appointment to follow up and said she sent an order to a surgeon who would be calling me to schedule likely by Monday.

I know because of my age and the fact that the lump is mobile it’s likely benign but I guess Im looking for anyone who has had a somewhat similar experience and what your outcome was. Has anyone had a mobile lump that turned out to be malignant? Any stories or experiences are appreciated.
