Indentation on areolas in both breasts

Hey guys. This question I am asking for my cousin who is 24 years old. She came to me with a question regarding her breasts and I did not hesitate to tell her she needed to see a doctor and push for answers if she was feeling uneasy. She came to me with complaints about an indentation or a dent on both of her areolas. She noticed them a couple months ago and they haven't ever went away. She is not pregnant or breastfeeding. She doesn't have any pain or anything. She has an appointment with the gynecologist tomorrow. My question to you ladies is, have you ever experienced this in both breasts and it was benign? :( Obviously my case was the exception to the rule. Thank you ladies! I'll let everyone know what goes on with my cousin.

    I hope your cousin got it checked out and yes she should push the Dr until she feels like she got a good answer.

    A indented nipple was one of the first signs I noticed when I found mine and that was 2 mts after a clear mama so please let us know what she found out

    I agree, I hope she got it checked and that everything is ok. I had a similar situation honeybeaw. I noticed an inverted nipple, then an indent right above my nipple.

    How are you doing , Im guessing you are out of treatment. I see you had Rad, were you able to skip the chemo. . This new staging they are using confused me when I look at Bios, I was staged at 2b due to size 2.6 cm and 1 postive node. I see woman being dx now at a lower stage and bigger tumors or more nodes.

    What does the IHC on your staging mean

    I hope you are doing well and recovering well

    honeybeaw, I am just getting ready to start my rads, but oh how I wish it was over already! I was able to skip chemo due to my low risk on the mammaprint so I am thankful for that. My BS said the staging had recently changed, maybe within the last year. It was confusing to me too. The IHC that’s after the HER2 status is just the method they use to determine if it is positive or negative. Thank you for the well wishes, I appreciate it

    I realized something might be off when I found a dent in my breast. I was never able to feel a lump, but when I went in to see my gynecologist's nurse practitioner, she was able to find the lump, which was deep inside and causing the dent. I would definitely encourage anyone with a change in their breast to go see their doctor for a thorough exam and follow-up! Good luck to your cousin.

    Christina, if you don't mind me asking, where was your dent located on the breast? I've always been very vigilant with my SBE/visual exams since I found my fibroadenoma lump four yrs ago (which was removed last week). 2-3 months ago I developed a dent on the under side of my other breast, noticeable when I lift my arm. I can't feel any lumps in the area, however that area is normally very lumpy. Haven't mentioned to my doc yet since I am still recovering from the other lump removal.
