Worried about pain in right breast

hi everyone,

I’m a 38 year old mother (daughter is 9 years old), and my right breast has been hurting me for a month. Saw the gynaecologist as soon as the pain started and she said it was nothing, couldn’t feel any lumps, but better have an MRI due to family history.Breast MRI came back clear, so she told me to take painkillers. It’s been a month and there’s no improvement. I feel the pain in my breast, the breast feels heavy and the pain sometimes spread to the armpit, arm, and collarbone. I’m worried because both my mom and her sister died from breast cancer. Could this be the start of IBC?

If the pain continues, we would recommend another visit or a second opinion, because even if it's nothing serious is causing you discomfort and worry.

    The link gave me some comfort as i don’t have the other symptoms, so far only pain. I will go check out another doctor on Monday, since it’s non stop pain 24/7 :(

    Here is an excerpt from International Consensus on the Clinical Management of Inflammatory Breast Cancer

    "Breast MRI can detect a primary breast lesion in up to 100% of cases and the lesion can be targeted for core biopsy . MRI has also been described as the most sensitive study to diagnose multi-centric disease . Finally, MRI best demonstrates the extent of disease, including ipsilateral and contralateral skin involvement, enhancing skin lesions or diffuse thickening of the skin (97%), and breast and/or chest wall edema. Initial rapid enhancement with delayed washout or plateau curve is seen in most cases of IBC (97%)"
