    Hello!

I’m not on any meds yet that cause depression as a side effect, however I’ve been dealing with depression for 17 years....well probably more than that. I’ve been on antidepressants for 17 years! When I first start a new antidepressant I get many of those same sensations and they definitely go away...if it is the right drug for you. I’m not sure how many options of different antidepressants that you have with AI’s. However The increased dosage your dr is recommendingmay actually help with the sensations you are mentioning...it’s all about chemical balance. Hugs to you, I understand how scary this is!

    Hi diannemc1957,

I have experienced brain zaps before. My Dr. told me it was because the dose was too low so I would experience a sort of withdrawal and that's what was causing the zaps. He told me to take it in the morning and then again at night and they went away. Definitely talk to your Dr and let him know.
